The Herzog Wilhelm City is just a hop, skip and a jump from Karlsplatz (Stachus) which is a hub of most of the tram and S-Bahn lines that serve the city of Munich, and it also houses a large shopping mall. Marienplatz which has served as the heart of Munich since medieval times is just a stone's throw away and its architecture is really special and must be seen. The Munich Opera house at Deutsches Theatre, which serves as the main venue for international stars, is also just a short stroll away, while the Deutsches Museum is easily reached as well.

Nearest Mainline Station: Munich Hauptbahnhof is about a kilometre away and it serves many train routes throughout Germany.

Nearest Bus Stop: There's a bus stop nearby which is a good way of travelling short distances.

Nearest Airport: Franz Josef Strauss Airport is about 40kms away and there are frequent trains from the airport into Munich Hauptbahnhof. You can walk the rest of the way, or grab a taxi if you've a lot of luggage.
